John R.
Hackworth is an associate
professor and director of the Electrical Engineering Technology program at Old Dominion
University. He holds a B.
S. Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Master of Science Degree
in Electrical Engineering, both from Old
Dominion University.
Prior to joining the Old
Dominion University
faculty, John had approximately 20 years of industrial experience in test
engineering and plant automation with General Electric Company. He is the co-author of two textbooks which
are currently in use by several electrical engineering technology programs at

Steve C.
Hsiung is an associate professor
of electrical engineering technology at Old Dominion
University. Prior to his
current position, Dr. Hsiung had worked for Maxim Integrated Products, Inc.,
Seagate Technology, Inc., and Lam Research Corp., all in Silicon Valley, CA.
Dr. Hsiung also taught at Utah
State University
and California University of Pennsylvania. He earned his BS degree from National Kauhsiung
Normal University
in 1980, MS degrees from University of North Dakota in 1986 and Kansas State
University in 1988, and PhD degree
from Iowa State University

Cheng Y.
Lin is
an associate professor of Engineering Technology at Old Dominion
University. Dr. Lin is a registered Professional Engineer
of Virginia. He teaches Machine Design,
CAD, CNC, and Robotics and is active in local industrial research and
consultation. He earned his B.S. and
M.S. degrees of Mechanical Engineering from National
Cheng-Kung University
in 1975 and 1977 and a Ph.D. of Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M

Ritz is a professor of technology
education at Old Dominion University. He also serves as department chairman. He has
experience in curriculum development with education, business and industry, and
the federal government. He earned his BS from Purdue
University in 1970, MS from university

James E.
Eiland is an assistant professor
of electronics at Blue Ridge
Community College for
over 25 years. In addition, he is the owner/engineer
of JEELAND Research & Development which supports various defense
contractors, local industry and inventors.
James Eiland is a retired Naval Intelligence Officer and earned his BS
in Electrical Engineering from the University

Russ
Puskarcik is an adjunct
electronics instructor for the Business and Technology Division at Olympic
College. Russ maintains a small telecom company. Prior to his current position,
he developed embedded software for Sensory Inc and performed product
engineering for several semiconductor manufacturers in Silicon
Valley, CA. including AMD, Intersil and Signetics. Russ has also
taught at Southwestern Community College, San Diego City
College and ITT Tech. He
earned his AAS Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology in 1973 at Youngstown State
University and studied Vocational
Education at the University
of California San Diego

Dr.
Richard N. Strand has been serving
as the Dean for Business and Technology at Olympic College in Bremerton Washington
since September 1998. In this capacity he is responsible for operational
oversight of 14 academic transfer and professional-technical programs and some
120 assigned staff, full and part time faculty. Dr. Strand's education
includes a BA in Business from the University
of Washington, Masters in Business and
Public Administration from Boston University and the University
of Southern California respectively,
and a Doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Southern
California. He has authored or
co-authored numerous works for general publication and is a frequent speaker on
a variety of subjects related to the history and development of community
colleges in America,

Michael
J. Szymkewicz has been a Professor
of Electronic Technology at Olympic College since 1972. He earned his BA
degree in Industrial Technology and his MA degree in Adult Education in
1979 both from Central Washington University.
