Terms and Conditions

To the Academic Community:

Three separate training workshops on Embedded System Design with PIC micro-controllers will be held this summer sponsored by:

• California University-Fresno, 
• Old Dominion University, 
• Wayne State University, 
• Blue Ridge Community College, and 
• Tidewater Community College

Training will be real-time and conducted using distance learning technologies.  No travel is required!  You will be able to learn from home or school!  These workshops are targeted at high school, 2-year, and 4-year college and university faculty.  You may choose between:

• Western Region: June 06 – 08, 2013 offered through California State University-Fresno (CSUF) 
• Eastern Region: June 17 – 19, 2013 offered through Old Dominion University (ODU)
• Midwest Region: July 10 – 12, 2013 offered through Wayne State University (WSU)

Registration is dependent on what region you are living.  The regional coverage is listed below.

There is no registration fee to attend this workshop and no travel is required. You must have access to a land line high-speed internet connection (DSL or cable) (satellite or dial-up internet connections are NOT acceptable). Attendance is limited 20 teachers in each region.  

Each attendee will receive (at a value of $250+):

• a free PIC training system/kit, 
• a web cam, 
• a microphone headset,
• all curriculum and laboratory modules.

as well as $400 for the completion of the 3 days training for profession development.  The $400 reimbursement will be mailed to you upon the successful completion of the workshop which requires the continuous attendance for the entire 3-day program. 

There is an additional $100 payment, if one completes a required project using what was learned during the workshops and demonstrates it (via on-line connection) to the regional faculty.
